Breast milk provides a wealth of nutrition to your baby even after he/she is six months old. However, as your baby grows, he/she becomes more active and you need to add some non-staple foods into his/her diet. It is recommended by World Health Organization that you breastfeed your baby until he/she is 2 years old or beyond. However, you need to add appropriate non-staple foods into his/her diet when he/she is six months old. Such a practice is best for the mother and the baby as well.
