| 2. | About the Long-Term Care Section (Long-term Care 2.0) Long-term care 2.0 services realize aging in place by providing diverse and continuous services to support families, in-home, community and residential caring to make the long-term care service system accessible to all and to build a community based caring as the aim to improve life quality of both caregivers and caretakers. In pursuit of the "721" goal, the Taichung City Government aims to enable 70% of the senior citizens to live in a happy and healthy life through good training and prevent them from needing caretakers. Additionally, 20% of the sub-healthy senior citizens are helped to improve healing abilities and life skills; 10% of the senior citizens with disabilities are well cared for. In the future, Taichung is expected to gradually increase the percentage of healthy and sub-healthy senior citizens and decrease the percentage of disabled senior citizens for happy aging. |
